Our Story
The Legacy of Kohl Ithmid
Kohl Ithmid holds a unique place in Islamic tradition. It was known and used during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and remained a familiar part of daily life for generations that followed.
Over time, however, this Sunnah gradually became less common, often replaced by modern alternatives that differ from the traditional form of Ithmid.
At Golden Oasis, we believe some traditions are worth preserving.
Why Golden Oasis Exists
Golden Oasis was founded with a simple purpose: to help revive a Sunnah that has become unfamiliar to many Muslims today.
Our intention has never been to reinvent Ithmid or modernize it for the sake of trends. Instead, we strive to preserve its traditional character while presenting it with honesty, care, and respect.
We recognize that no modern company can perfectly recreate the past. What we can do is approach this tradition with sincerity, source responsibly, and remain transparent about what we offer.
Our Approach
Preserving tradition and embracing transparency do not have to be opposites.
Although independent laboratory testing and regulatory documentation did not exist during the time of the Prophet ﷺ, they are valuable tools available today. Rather than changing the traditional product itself, we choose to use these resources to better document what we source and provide our customers with greater transparency.
Our philosophy is simple:

We believe authenticity is demonstrated through honesty, not exaggerated claims.
Our Standards
We source our Ithmid through a supplier in Saudi Arabia whose product is covered by a Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) Cosmetic Product Notification.
We also make available the independent laboratory documentation supplied for that product so our customers can review the available testing information for themselves.
